The Analytics page gives you a month-by-month view of your cashflow across wallets - ideal for financial reviews, reporting, and spotting long-term trends. Open it from Analytics in the sidebar.
Full analytics is included in the Pro plan. See Billing for plan details.

Controls

A row of controls at the top applies to the whole page:
The Include Internal setting is remembered in your browser, so it stays the way you left it on your next visit.

Summary Cards

Three cards summarize the selected period:
  • Total Income
  • Total Expenses
  • Net Cashflow
Each card shows a trend badge comparing the figure to the previous period of the same length (for example, the last 6 months versus the 6 months before). No trend is shown for the All time period, since there is nothing to compare against.

Cashflow Overview

The Cashflow Overview chart plots each month in the period:
  • Bars for monthly income and expenses
  • A line for the monthly net
Hover over a month to see the exact income, expense, and net amounts.

Monthly Breakdown

Below the chart, the Monthly Breakdown starts with a period totals bar (income, expenses, and net for the whole period) followed by one expandable card per month. Each month’s header row shows its income, expenses, and net at a glance.

Inside a Month

Expand a month card to see:
1

Summary pills

Quick totals for the month where applicable: Internal transfers, Swaps, Gas (included in expenses), and Slippage (an operational cost from swaps).
2

Income and Expenses by category

Every category that had activity, with its icon, share of the month as a percentage, amount, and a proportion bar.
3

Internal Transfers and Swaps

Listed separately from income and expenses - internal transfers are not counted in net cashflow, and swaps show any slippage treated as an expense.
4

End-of-Month Balances

The closing balance of each wallet at the end of that month.

Category Drill-Down

Click any category row (or the Internal Transfers / Swaps rows) to expand it inline and see the transactions behind the number - date, counterparty, amount, and wallet for up to 5 transactions. If there are more, a View all link opens the Transactions page filtered to that category and month.
Use the Manage Categories link in the Monthly Breakdown header to jump to the Transactions page, where categories are created and assigned.

Exporting to CSV

Click Export CSV to download the monthly breakdown for the selected period and wallets. The file is named chainbook-analytics-<period>.csv (for example, chainbook-analytics-1Y.csv) and contains one row per category per month: If the Include Internal toggle is on, internal transfers are counted in the income percentages, matching what you see on screen.

Frequently Asked Questions

Internal transfers move funds between your own wallets, so by default they are excluded to keep income and expenses meaningful. Turn on Include Internal if you want them reflected in the income and net figures.
The Dashboard is a snapshot of recent activity over day-based periods. Analytics is organized by calendar month, adds category-level breakdowns with drill-down, end-of-month balances, and a multi-wallet selector - built for reviews and reporting over longer horizons.
Gas is the network fee spent on transactions; it is already included in your expenses. Slippage is value lost during swaps and is treated as an operational cost.
The month’s transactions haven’t been categorized yet. Assign categories on the Transactions page (or enable auto-categorization in Settings) and the breakdown fills in.
